Education
- Boston University (2015)
After graduating from Boston University in 2015, I embarked on a nine-year journey teaching high school mathematics, primarily at my alma mater in Massachusetts with a two-year stint at an international school in Rome, Italy. Throughout my teaching career, I found profound fulfillment in nurturing strong connections with my students and their families. Guiding them through complex mathematical concepts, fostering confidence, and witnessing their personal growth were deeply rewarding experiences. My favorite topic to teach was always exponential functions, when students grasped the significance of exponential growth, and began to appreciate the power of investing and compound interest.
Transitioning from education to financial planning felt like a natural progression driven by my passion for helping others and mathematical problem-solving. By pursuing my CFP® certification to strengthen my financial acumen, I am excited to bring together my teaching background with financial expertise at Astoria. Here, I look forward to learning from my seasoned colleagues while empowering clients on their journeys toward achieving their personal and financial goals.
My husband and I first met at an overnight summer camp in Maine, eventually marrying in Rome, Italy. We now call Providence, RI home, along with our cherished Cavapoo, Luce. We enjoy hosting game nights with friends, exploring Providence’s vibrant culinary scene, spending quality time with family, and embarking on adventures across the world.
