Though my professional career began in critical care nursing, my interest in financial planning was shaped much earlier. My mother instilled foundational financial principles in my brother and me from a very young age – lessons I’ve come to appreciate more deeply in adulthood than I did back then.

I graduated from The University of Texas in Austin in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and spent over five years working as an ICU bedside nurse in the Houston Texas Medical Center. During that time, I developed a strong passion for helping people navigate vulnerable and complex situations, advocating on their behalf, and thinking critically both independently and as part of a team. As I began exploring new career paths, financial planning stood out as a natural transition, offering many of the same opportunities to make a substantive impact on people’s lives.

I joined Astoria Strategic Wealth in early 2023 and earned my Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional℠ (FPQP®) designation during onboarding. I initially worked in an operations and administrative capacity as I gained experience in the industry. By fall of 2023, I obtained my Series 65 license, allowing me to provide personalized investment advice and work directly with clients.

I particularly enjoy diving into the details of financial plans, understanding both the “why” and the “how” behind the numbers. I’m equally interested in the emotional and behavioral aspects of financial decision-making. Much like healthcare, finances can be a sensitive and sometimes overwhelming topic, and I believe that addressing these dynamics is key to creating a successful, personalized plan. Building meaningful relationships with clients and collaborating with allied professionals has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.

After several years as an Associate Client Advisor, I decided to further my financial education by earning the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA®) designation in 2026. In this role, I can help clients navigate the financial complexities of divorce, including analyzing the tax/estate implications of asset division, projecting future expenses, and general planning for life post-separation. My goal is to support clients in reaching well-informed settlements, avoiding long-term financial missteps, and maintaining confidence in their financial future.

I live in the greater Houston area with my husband, a mechanical engineer, and our son. In our free time, we enjoy spending time with our two Corgi puppies, cheering on the Longhorns and Astros, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and getting outdoors.
